In memory of her late brother, Peter McGrearty, Patricia Byrne organised to have her head shaved to raise money for St Anne’s Ward in St Vincent’s Hospital.
Patricia’s brave decision contributed the ma gnificent total of €4,117 for patient care here in the hospital. Patricia is pictured presenting her cheque to the staff in St Anne’s.

Gifts of jewellery to St. Vincent’s were recently sold and raised over €1,000 for cancer care in the hospital.
We appreciate the generosity.
In support of Cancer Care in St. Vincent’s, we held a Raffle in conjunction with the sale of our Christmas Cards. In all this contributed nearly €8,000 to a vital cause.
We are grateful to all who supported the effort by buying cards and raffle entries.
We appreciate all the volunteers who manned the sales for us, including staff in both the University & Private Hospitals; as well as the Kylemore Services Group shops and coffee shops throughout, for their trojan efforts.

In memory of Moira Furey, who died in St. Vincent’s in December 2012, her husband Dermot and nearly 300 family and friends took part in the 2nd annual Remembrance Run in the Phoenix Park on 10th November 2013.
Together they raised almost €13,000 for Pancreatic Cancer care in St. Vincent’s.
We are truly grateful to Dermot and everyone involved for this exceptional generosity which was also a huge tribute to Moira.
We had a record number of participants who took part in the 2013 Dublin City Marathon to fundraise for the hospital. This is a very arduous undertaking and we are grateful to all who do this to assist projects in St. Vincent’s.
Our thanks to the organising committee of the 2013 Warriors Festival in Strandhill, County Sligo who donated €1,000 to St. Vincent’s at the request of a former patient Denis Foley & Family. Runners from all over Ireland took part in the multi-terrain 15km race from the beachfront in Strandhill. Denis Foley’s land was on part of the course and we thank him and the Festival Committee for thinking of St. Vincent’s.
The Liver Transplant Charity Calendar 2014 “Be Inspired”
Deirdre Faul, a liver transplant recipient ten years ago, had developed a beautiful 2014 calendar. Each month depicts a heart-warming story of a successful liver transplant, many of them little children given a new chance of life.
The calendars pay tribute to donors and to the staff who care for patients.
The calendars are available from St. Vincent’s Foundation (Tel: 01-2215065) as a cost of €10 each.
All proceeds go to the Liver Unit in St. Vincent’s.

For many years the Medical Students in U.C.D. have organised a major fundraising day. This year it takes place on Friday October 11th. Brightly clad students will be collecting around Dublin for a variety of good causes including St. Vincent’s Foundation.

The Hell and Back Titan 2013 challenge takes place on Sunday 3rd November 2013 in Killruddery Estate, Bray, Co. Wicklow. We already have some courageous volunteers taking part to fundraise for St. Vincent’s.
