Jillian McNulty’s Cycle for C.F. & St. Vincent’s
04/07/2013
Jillian McNulty, a patient of the Cystic Fibrosis Unit in St. Vincent’s Hospital, lead a group of cyclists from Carrick-on-Shannon to Dublin over a 4 day journey. Starting out on Friday June 21st they arrived triumphantly into St Vincent’s on Monday 24th to a welcoming audience of staff and supporters. Jillian and her team were blessed with good weather for the trip.
Supported along the way by fundraising events, the group raised €4,500 which is shared between C.F. Ireland and C.F. care in St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
As well as our gratitude to Jillian and the other brave cyclists, we express our thanks to Jillian’s parents, Frank and Fionnuala, her family, friends and the families and friends of all the participants. It was a poignant event for some of the cyclists who themselves had lost loved ones to C.F.
Gillian is also organising a fundraising evening in Longford on 16th August. We will provide details under “Events” in due course.
